About Us

After going through the SEN and mental health system with her three autistic children, Hope Therapies’ founder Katie Western was inspired to find a different, better way.

Founded in 2021, Hope Therapies offers private speech and occupational therapy directly to parents. After feeling disempowered and discouraged by her own experience, Katie was determined to offer a service that put parents firmly back in the driving seat.

Our Approach

We know that you are the expert on your child and your family. We offer a range of creative, flexible ways of working to ensure you get to support your child in the best way possible. As we get to know you, your child, and what you need, we will design our care and support to best meet your needs. We’re not prescriptive, we don’t follow set care pathways and, most importantly, we see every family and child as unique.

Everything we do is designed to support, cheer on and encourage parents and to equip their children. Katie has poured all of her experience as mother of three children with autism, and all of her expertise as a Speech Therapist into designing a service that truly works for families.
